Two faculties of Inamdar Unani Medical College and Hospital, Kalaburagi i.e Dr Qamrul Islam Usmani Dept of Ilmul Advia, and Dr Seemab Alam, Dept of Moalajat attended on day National workshop on “Standardization in the field of Unani, Sidha, and Homeopathy” held on 30 January 2025 in Hyderabad. This workshop was organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
The objective of the workshop was to aware the colleges about BIS, standardization in quality products/procedures, minimizing substandard drugs, consumer satisfaction, and searching new & priority areas for standardization in Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. The program was divided into an inaugural session, a technical session, and a brainstorming session. Various experts in the field gave their presentations on the Importance of National and International Standards, Standards formulation process, Overview of Standardization in the field of Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy, Important Indian Standards published and under development, Importance of Research in Standardization and Trade prospects of Indian Standards in Ayush Sector.
